PR & Brand Positioning
For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's "In Her Own Words," we helped reframe the franchise's most iconic issue as a statement, not just a spectacle. The project handed its cover models the mic to speak candidly about their bodies, from stretch marks and cellulite to the barriers they were breaking: the first Paralympian shot for the issue, the third Black woman on a cover, all captured by an all-female crew. The result moved the swimsuit issue beyond "pretty women in bikinis" and pushed the body-positivity conversation forward, turning the platform's enormous cultural reach into a force for change.
Transform a franchise long defined by a narrow ideal of beauty into an authentic, model-led celebration of body positivity and representation, without losing the scale and cultural weight that make Sports Illustrated Swimsuit matter.
